Villa Juana is located in Cala'n Bosch which is largely a family based resort so don't expect to discover any brash clubland venues though in recent years a couple of loud music pubs have opened around the port area. Other than that the Cala'n Bosch entertainment scene is usually hotel based and quite low key.

The windsurfing lover has options if you book up for Villa Juana in Cala n Bosch. Visit Son Xoriguer beach for sailing tuition. This is the place to rent a sailing dinghy, a Hobie Cat, a windsurfer or if you would like to book a canoeing session. Water skiing sessions are also usually available in peak season for the brave. Remember to make sure that your holiday insurance covers these activities before booking up a water sports session or water sports equiment.

Geographically the purpose made holiday destination of Cala'n Bosch is located near to the extreme south-western tip of Menorca. As Villa Juana is found in Cala'n Bosch which is virtually on the opposite side of Menorca from Mahon airport it will come as no suprise that the journey from airport to the resort is possibly the resort transfer in Menorca. The journey typically takes an hour when driving or a little more by coach from Mahon airport into Cala'n Bosch. Travel west across the island on highway ME-1 towards Ciudadela. Before reaching Ciudadela, watch out forthe RC-2 road which will take you south to Cala'n Bosch. If you currently have a map of the balearic islands, you may find that many roads have been renamed over the last few years which could cause confusion.

Villa Juana is in Cala n Bosch which can be found on the Balearic island of Menorca (also spelt as Minorca). The island of Menorca is the second biggest of the three Balearic islands and is only 34 kilometers from the bigger Balearic island, Majorca. Those who have already been to Majorca or Ibiza, will discover that Menorca is usually quieter than the other islands. With more beaches than any other Balearic island, Menorca is reknowned for it's large number of resorts that are suitable for families. The north coast of Menorca is generally very rugged and populated with quiet fishing villages. The south coast of Menorca is mainly less rugged and is sprinkled with peaceful resorts that are suitable for families.

As we previously mentioned Menorca is quite a compact island. If you hire a car you should be able visit the whole island. There are a lot of tourism information offices situated in in the towns of Menorca providing current information about Minorcan excursions, beaches and local events. The Menorcan tourist information offices also supply local local maps.

The island of Menorca is a lot less expansive and quieter than Mallorca. This peacefulness explains why Menorca holidays are largely aimed towards families. It is no suprise that a lot of holiday destinations are considered to be family friendly. Menorca is less developed and keeps a large amount of the original Spanish character than Majorca and Ibiza. So why not pack your bags and book up for Villa Juana in Cala n Bosch and take in the sun at a destination with authentic island charm and character?
