Geographically the custom made resort of Cala'n Bosch is located close to the extreme south-western tip of Menorca. Because Villa Begonias is found in Cala'n Bosch which is almost on the far side of Menorca from Mahon airport it comes as no suprise that the trip from Mahon airport to Cala'n Bosch is considered to be the resort transfer on the island. It generally takes approximately one hour by car and a bit longer by coach from the island's airport to Cala'n Bosch. Travel west across the island on the ME-1 towards the former capital of Ciudadela. Before reaching Ciudadela, look out forthe RC-2 road which will take you south towards Cala'n Bosch. Please note that if you currently own an old map of the balearic islands, you could discover that a lot of highways have been renamed over the last few years which could cause confusion.

Villa Begonias is in Cala n Bosch which is located on the Balearic island of Menorca (sometimes spelt as Minorca). The island of Menorca is the second biggest of the three Balearic islands and is just 21 miles from the bigger Balearic island, Majorca. Anyone who has previously visited Majorca or Ibiza, will soon discover that Menorca is often quieter than the other islands. With many more beaches than any other Balearic island, Menorca is well known for it's large number of resorts that are relaxed and low key. The northern coast of Menorca is generally very rugged and dotted with peaceful fishing villages. The southern coast of Menorca is generally less rugged and is dotted with quiet resorts that are relaxed and low key.

As we previously mentioned Menorca is quite a small island. By renting a car you should be able get around the whole island. There are numerous tourism information offices dotted around in the holiday resorts of Menorca. These provide the latest information regarding Menorcan beaches, local events and excursions. The tourism information offices also supply local a map of Menorca.

Menorca is far more compact and quieter than Mallorca. This unhurried pace is a major reason why Menorca holidays are generally focussed on the family holiday market. Unsuprisingly a lot of resorts are considered to be family friendly. Menorca is less spoilt and maintains a large amount of the original charm than Majorca and Ibiza. So why don't you pack your bags and head off to Villa Begonias in Cala n Bosch and take in the sun at a destination with authentic charm and character?
