Cala 'N Bosch is predominantly a family friendly resort so don't expect to discover any booming clubland venues though there are now a few music pubs and bars have sprung up around the marina. Apart from that the Cala'n Bosch entertainment scene is generally hotel based and quite low key.

Cala'n Bosch does offer a choice of a brace of medium sized fine sandy beaches. Both beaches boast excellent facilities. Equipment for watersports is available for hire from both beaches. Visit Son Xoriguer beach for sailing or windsurfing tuition. You can also book a sailing dinghy, a Hobie-Cat catamaran, a windsurfer or if you fancy to book a canoeing session. Water skiing sessions are also usually available in peak season for the adventurous. You should check that your medical insurance covers hazardous activities before booking up a water sports session or water sports gear.

The centre of the town of Cala'N Bosch and hence the bulk of the restaurants and bars are placed around the attractive port area which is reasonably big for a resort of this size. The harbour contains small and medium sized yachts, together with all types of leisure craft. The marina perimeter perks up a bit when the heat of the day subsides. In the main holiday season you are sure to find a wide range traders and artists offering their products and services. You can ask an artist to draw a caricature or portrait as a long term souvenir of your Cala'n Bosch holiday.

Geographically the specially built resort of Cala'n Bosch is situated close to the south-western corner of Menorca. Since Cala'n Bosch is virtually on the far side of the island from Mahon airport it is no great suprise that the transfer from Mahon airport to the resort is considered to be the longest transfer in Menorca. The journey typically takes approximately one hour by car or a little more by coach from the airport into Cala'n Bosch. Travel west across Menorca on the ME-1 following signs for the former capital of Ciudadela. Shortly before reaching Ciudadela, watch out forthe RC-2 bypass which will take you south to Cala'n Bosch. Please note that if you already possess a map of the balearic islands, you might discover that several highways have been renumbered over the last few years by the authorities.

Dust off your shades, your flip flops and dig out your sun cream you're certain to need them all if you book a holday to Cala 'N Bosch. Featuring stunningly turquoise waters and pale powdery sands, this is one of Menorca's best spots for a relaxing beach holiday, and is a great favourite with British tourists.

The holiday resort of Cala n Bosch is to be found on the Balearic island of Menorca (occasionally called Minorca). The island of Menorca is the second largest of the three Balearic islands and is just 21 miles from the bigest Balearic island, Majorca. Those who have previously taken a holiday in Majorca or Ibiza, will discover that Menorca is usually quieter than the other Balaeric islands. With a larger number beaches than any other Balearic island, Menorca is famous for it's large number of resorts that are relaxed and low key. The northern coast of Menorca is generally quite rugged and dotted with peaceful fishing villages. The south coast of Menorca is generally the exact opposite and is populated with quiet resorts that are relaxed and low key.

As we previously mentioned Menorca is quite a small island. By renting a car you will be able get around the entire island. There are numerous tourism information offices dotted around in the resorts of Menorca providing the latest information about Menorcan excursions, beaches and local events. The tourist information offices are also a great place for a map of Menorca.

The island of Menorca is much smaller and quieter than Majorca. This unhurried pace is a major reason why Menorca holidays are usually focussed on the family holiday market. It is no suprise that a lot of resorts are classed as family friendly. Menorca is less developed and keeps a large amount of the authentic island character than the other islands. So why not pack your bags and head off to Cala n Bosch in Menorca and absorb some sun at a destination with genuine island character and charm?
